Safety Engineering

In use around the world and mandatory in Europe: safe machinery

The safety of persons and the environment must always be ensured – thus in Europe the machine manufacturers and operators are obliged to comply with the general requirements for the functional safety of machines as stipulated in the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

Only once these requirements have been met is a machine considered to be safe.

Our experience for your safety

In progressing towards safe machinery, we offer you the choice of either a new system or modernization and/or modification measures at every necessary step.

After a thorough risk assessment according to DIN EN ISO 121100, we draft your own individual safety concept, develop the safety design according to DIN EN ISO 13849 and DIN EN 62061, select the components, and finalize the process after system integration with complete CE documentation.

We can make use of information gained during numerous reference projects in which we completed some or all steps relating to the safety technology as a reliable partner.

Here are some examples of our risk analyses and CE documentation:

  • Band saws
  • Tube test presses
  • Internal grinding machines
  • Pilgrim scaffolding
  • Rod stripping machines
  • Tube transportation
  • Cooling beds
  • Phosphating systems
  • Ultrasound test systems
  • Hot iron saws
  • Slitting lines
  • Cross-rolling mills
  • Lateral skid transfer
